To address this, authorize the computer via the Store - > Authorize this Computer command; then select Update i. Tunes Match. Select Turn Off i. Tunes Match from i. Tunes. Then select to Turn On i. Tunes Match. When you re- enable i. Tunes Match, what may have taken hours to do when you first subscribed should now only take a minute or two to restore. I had to use this technique to fix a failure to download songs from i. Cloud to my Mac. To get the improved version, you click the Download icon in the i. Cloud Download column. The message suggested that I check to see if I had an active network connection (I did). Quitting and relaunching i. Tunes did not help. Neither did selecting Update i. Tunes Match. Tunes Match. The remaining song(s) are listed as Uploaded. This means I cannot access the higher quality versions of the Uploaded songs. I know the songs should match because the entire album is available from the i. Tunes Store. As far as I can tell, there is nothing I can do. A Macworld article confirms that others are seeing this same glitch. The consensus is that a server error is at fault. None of the above- described fixes had any effect. He found several forums threads describing the same symptom. In this case, after over a day of frustration, the problem fixed itself. Follow- up postings online indicated the remedy was happening at about the same time to all who were affected. Again, the implication is that this was a server error that Apple had resolved.
